The Night Institute is Ten!
Music Genres
Ten years of throwing parties?! When we started The Night Institute as a weekly party ten years ago upstairs at Aether & Echo with a broken sound system and a home-made lightbox, we never imagined the adventure and craic that was ahead of us.
From block parties in the cathedral quarter to sold-out events at C.S. Lewis Square, parties in Valencia, Ibiza, Dublin and beyond, we've had a damn good time in the process! We've taken on projects that shouldn't work, but became magic - like the Hack Club, and worked with some of the best people in the process. We've seen our team go on to have full time jobs within the creative industries, and seen artists who have had their first live experiences at TNI go on to have great successes as performers in the right own right.
Perhaps most importantly to us, we feel at complete ease playing to The Night Institute faithful. Hugs from familiar faces at 10pm - regulars who were at our very first parties ten years ago, and people who come with lovers they've met on the TNI dancefloor over the years, and in some case family members.
With that said, our TNI is ten artwork comes from the hugely talented Ciaran McCusker, often found on our dancefloors - and created out of his sheer passion for art. We were touched by the sentiment and honoured to use it as our artwork to celebrate ten years.
This July we celebrate ten years of throwing parties with an all-night long set at Ulster Sports Club.
Thanks to everyone who has contributed the story so far. We fuckin' love ya!
